Application terms and conditions for UAIT Certificate Programs

These Terms of Service govern your application to and enrollment in the United African Institute of Technology (UAIT) Certificate Programs.

1. Application Process

1.1 Application Submission

By submitting an application to UAIT, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information. Any false or misleading information may result in the rejection of your application or termination of your enrollment.

1.2 Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee is required for all certificate program applications. This fee covers the cost of application processing and evaluation.

1.3 Application Review

UAIT reserves the right to review and evaluate all applications. We will notify applicants of our decision within 3-5 business days of receiving a complete application.

2. Admission Requirements

2.1 Academic Qualifications

  • Completion of Advanced Senior Six (S6) or equivalent high school diploma
  • Submission of official transcripts and certificates
  • Meeting program-specific requirements where applicable

2.2 Documentation

All required documents must be submitted in the format specified. International documents may require official translation and notarization.

3. Enrollment and Payment

3.1 Enrollment Confirmation

Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of the enrollment agreement and payment of required fees. Students must confirm their enrollment within the specified timeframe or forfeit their place.

3.2 Tuition and Fees

Tuition fees are due according to the payment schedule provided upon acceptance. Late payments may result in suspension from classes and additional fees.

3.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are governed by UAIT's refund policy, which will be provided upon enrollment. Application fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

4. Student Responsibilities

4.1 Academic Integrity

Students must maintain academic integrity and follow UAIT's academic policies. Academic dishonesty may result in suspension or expulsion.

4.2 Attendance

Regular attendance is required for all classes and activities. Excessive absences may result in academic penalties or dismissal from the program.

4.3 Code of Conduct

Students must adhere to UAIT's code of conduct and maintain professional behavior throughout their enrollment.

5. UAIT's Rights and Responsibilities

5.1 Program Delivery

UAIT commits to delivering high-quality education according to the program curriculum. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to course content, schedules, and instructors.

5.2 Disciplinary Action

UAIT reserves the right to take disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion, for violations of academic or conduct policies.

5.3 Program Modifications

UAIT may modify programs, policies, or procedures with appropriate notice to students. Significant changes will be communicated in advance.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1 Information Use

Personal information collected through the application process is used for admissions, enrollment, and educational purposes. For complete details, please review our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Data Security

UAIT implements appropriate security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Course Materials

All course materials, including lectures, assignments, and educational content, are the intellectual property of UAIT. Students may not reproduce or distribute these materials without permission.

7.2 Student Work

Students retain ownership of their original work created during the program, while granting UAIT permission to use such work for educational and promotional purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

UAIT's liability is limited to the tuition fees paid. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from program participation.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. Any disputes will be resolved through the appropriate legal channels in Rwanda.
